Boone County Schools Superintendent Matthew Turner will give an update on how the school year is going to the Rotary Club of Florence on Monday, October 5, 2020.
Matthew Turner started his career in education in 1991. Prior to his appointment as Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Turner served for 14 years as Principal of Northern Kentucky’s largest high school, Ryle High. Previously, he served as Assistant Principal at three high schools. He has also taught math and coached baseball and basketball.
Mr. Turner earned his Certificate for School Superintendent from Xavier, his Rank 1 Certification in Instructional Leadership from N.K.U and, his Masters from U.K. His Bachelors in Mathematics also came from the University of Kentucky.
Mr. Turner’s background in education leadership includes Harvard’s Executive Leadership Program for Educators and the National Institute of School Leadership. He continues to serve in many professional organizations. He currently serves as a Deacon at Williamstown Baptist Church.
Mr. Turner is from Danville. He and his wife Debra are the proud parents of two sons.
